Using "of" with dates

有時侯會在文章看到日期會使用到 "of" 這個介系詞是要用來強調 of 後面的日期，如下面原文內容中的

"January first of 2010" 是要強調 2010 這個年份。

有時會看到國外的購物網站會有 "Sale week of  3 January" 我想應該也是要強調 1月3日那天開始拍賣的意思吧！

下面是原本的內容:

If you write "January first of 2010" you're adding emphasis to the year, as if making sure that it's clear that you're not talking about a different year.

Here's an example of how it might be used:

--"I haven't had champagne since New Year's Day last year."

--"You mean since 2009?"

--"No, I mean since January first of 2010."
